The Community Music School of the Piedmont is pleased to present its 18th Annual Candlelight Concert on Sunday, February 22nd at 5:30, hosted in the beautiful home of Tom and Nancy Dungan. This distinguished evening of chamber music features internationally acclaimed cellist Amit Peled with pianist Daniel del Pino.Doors open at 5:00 PM
Concert begins at 5:30 PM
Cellobrations! highlights the expressive breadth and artistic depth of the cello in collaboration with piano, with works including:
Robert Schumann – Langsam
Mieczysław Weinberg – Sonata No. 2
Frédéric Chopin – Sonata for Cello and Piano
Together, these compositions offer a compelling journey through lyricism, emotional intensity, and virtuosity, showcasing the enduring beauty of the cello repertoire. Guests are invited to experience this exceptional performance in the intimate and elegant setting of a private home, while supporting CMSP’s mission through this cherished annual tradition. After the concert, mingle with the musicians during our post-concert reception, where you can chat and take photos.
This concert serves as CMSP’s sole fundraiser of the year, with proceeds directly supporting student scholarships and outreach programs, ensuring access to high-quality music education throughout our community. We reach and enrich the lives of over 400 children and adults in our community with music instruction and ensemble opportunities.
