About this Event

On March 12, join us at 5:30 pm for cocktails and from 6-7:00 pm for a Women's History Month presentation of "Ahead of the Game: The Women of PCC."

The arrival of women in The Philadelphia Cricket Club's early days helped spark its growth, strengthen its success, and carry its spirit forward into the 21st century.

Among the notable women whose stories will be presented by 1854 Foundation Board members will be Florence Vanderbeck, Gertrude Woodward, Ellen Gowen Hood, Katherine Porter, Louise Dixon, Virginia Carpenter, Helen Krumbhaar, and more. Please join us as we celebrate the women, the sports, and the stories that have defined our history.
