Join us for our 17th annual reading of the Declaration of Independence! July 2nd at Noon, Harris County Criminal Justice Center. (Courts will be closed on July 3rd).
HCCLA’s first reading started in 2010 by Robert J. Fickman as a protest against a justice system that daily deprived Harris County citizens of their liberty with its “long train of abuses...fatiguing them into compliance”. These are among the words recited from the Declaration of Independence.
TCDLA and defense lawyers from around the state will be holding similar readings in other Texas counties.
