Info: The creation of MDP programs is an acknowledgement that complex challenges of sustainable development throughout the world requires expert knowledge and an interdisciplinary approach.

The MDP Summit allows faculty members in sustainable development to come together and exchange information and ideas on the successes and challenges of their graduate degree program and the global network.  Since the inception of the global network, fall 2008, 16 Summits have been organized.  The first in Ethiopia, the second in New Delhi and this year’s Summit will be held in Italy.  The summit’s aims are:

To discuss the current challenges

To strengthen the global MDP network by engaging the participation of the MDP and non-MDP faculty members and leaders

To share pedagogical best practices, including web-based technologies

To provide networking opportunities for faculty members and leaders
