The Valparaiso Chain of Lakes Watershed Group will once again host their annual High School Environmental Debate on March 16 in the Chambers of the Porter County Administration Building. Debate teams from Valparaiso and Chesterton High Schools will face off taking on this year’s debate topic which focuses on the benefits and disadvantages of data centers.
With the unprecedented growth of data center development in the news both locally and nationally, this year’s High School Environmental Debate is sure to be of heightened interest to the public.
The rousing but professional debaters will be coached by Mr. Josh Coots (Chesterton) and Mrs. Heather Beach (Valparaiso).
Each year, the Valparaiso Chain of Lakes Watershed Group sponsors a high school environmental debate in order to provide the general public with entertainment, inspiration, and motivation.
Audience is invited to Q and A meeting with the debaters at Uncle Menny's Greek Pizza next door following the debate.
