For the past 16 years, Greece Baptist Church has hosted a holiday Alternative Gift Market. The last three years, the market has been in a virtual format, but this year we are excited to be returning to an in-person market. If you have not had a chance to experience this wonderful event, let me tell you about it. The market is both a missions fair and a holiday shopping opportunity. The vendors at the market are made up of local ministries that each host a table. The ministries provide information about their mission and the work they are doing in our community, and some offer gift items for purchase. The market enables shoppers to purchase holiday gifts that are given twice, supporting local ministries and providing meaningful holiday gifts for family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, etc. When shoppers donate to a ministry or purchase gift items, they are given a gift card to let the gift recipient know that a donation has been made in their honor. And to enhance your shopping experience, coffee, tea, and homemade cookies are provided while you shop!Here is a sneak peek at some of the ministries that will be joining us this year at the Alternative Gift Market:
