1776 Seconds: Philadelphia Illuminated Community Celebration
About this Event
Join Creative Philadelphia for A Celebration of Philadelphia Stories: 1776 Seconds: Philadelphia Illuminated
As part of the Philadelphia 250 initiative, Creative Philadelphia led creative activations in neighborhoods across Philadelphia, celebrating artists, community members, and the stories that connect all 10 City Council districts. Now, those stories come together for a one-of-a-kind community celebration at Philadelphia City Hall.
Join us on Tuesday, August 4, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. (rain date: August 5). The public program begins at 6:00 p.m. with art activations, followed by remarks from City officials at 7:30 p.m. and the film screening at 9:00 p.m. The screening will feature a spectacular projection across the iconic façade of Philadelphia City Hall, bringing the faces, voices, and stories of Philadelphians to life on one of the city's most recognizable landmarks.
Enjoy live performances featuring the Hiruy Tirfe Quartet, local food vendors, and our signature 1776 Seconds mocktails and cocktails as we celebrate the creativity, resilience, and spirit of Philadelphia.
This event is free and open to the public. All are welcome.
***KNOW BEFORE YOU GO - TRAVEL AND STREET CLOSURES ********
