Mark Your Calendars for the 2024 Sullivan County Fair! The highly anticipated Sullivan County Fair is set to run from August 29th through September 1, 2024, in Forksville. This year’s fair promises an exciting lineup of events, from traditional livestock shows to the thrilling demolition derby. Families can look forward to agricultural exhibits, a wide array of contests, live music, and local food vendors. Established in 1851, the fair remains a long-standing community tradition, celebrating the county’s agricultural heritage with old-fashioned fun.
The entertainment lineup includes Ole ’97, a tribute to Johnny and June Carter Cash, on August 31st, followed by the popular demolition derby on September 1st. Visitors can also enjoy the Home Talent & Fair Queen Contest on August 27th, tractor pulls, and a variety of performances throughout the week.
Sunday, August 25
1 p.m. - Pre-registered fair exhibits accepted until 6 p.m.
6 p.m. - Vespers service sponsored by the S.C. Ministerium
Monday, August 26
9 a.m. - Fair office opens
12 p.m. - Pre-registered fair exhibits accepted until 7 p.m.
7:30 p.m. - Fair office closes
Tuesday, August 27
9 a.m. - Fair office opens
10 a.m. - Judging of all exhibits except livestock
6 p.m. - Fair preview (no admission charge)
