Welcome to the 16th Annual Take A Shot At Hunger!Thank you for your interest in our event, and even more for your interest in helping to feed the hungry! We are currently working on a modified format of our golf outing due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, but we are happy to say we are moving forward with our preparation.
The Food Pantry Golf Outing started in 2006 by a group of local residents who wanted to get one last round of golf in as the summer ended. We are pleased with our fundraising efficiency, which allows 100% of the monetary donations we receive to go directly to the Food Pantry. In 2019, with 114 golfers, we raised over $23,000. And while Covid-19 impacted our 2020 event, we were still able to organize a smaller, safe outing that still managed to raise $5,000. In the 15 years of the outing we have donated over $168,000 to the food pantry.
Our vision is to establish the golf outing as a self-sustaining event that will provide support to the Algonquin Lake in The Hills Interfaith Food Pantry for years to come. We are asking for your help in realizing that vision.
