16th annual Stl Seeding frenzy

Updates to the event will be posted on the main facebook page, STL seeding frenzy.
The seeding frenzy for 2026 is being held at the Sunset Hills Community Center, 3915 South Lindbergh Blvd, St Louis, MO 63127.
The date is January 30th 2027 and will start at 11:00 am and end around 4:00 pm. We are changing things a little bit for the 2027 event. The change is to encourage everyone to save seeds and bring them to the event to share.
****For the 2027 event the only people allowed in to get seeds from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm are people that bring seeds to share. When you come into the building, if you have seeds you will be given an arm band. This arm band allows you the early entry into the seed room. If you do not have an arm band you will not be allowed into the seed room until 12:31 pm.
The raffles and the vendors will be open the entire event. If you do not bring seeds you can shop for raffle tickets and buy from the vendors. This change is being announced early so everyone has a chance to save seeds to share. ******
The seeding frenzy is a free to attend, free seed swap. If you have seeds to share please bring them with you. Make sure you label the seeds you bring. We will be bringing seeds we saved plus seeds donated by seed manufacturers.
If you do not have seeds to share please bring a donation of either non-perishable food items, hygiene products or new kids socks and underwear. These items will be given to a local charity.
We will have a few raffle baskets at the frenzy. The raffle basket proceeds will be used to pay for future seeding frenzy events.

Prepackage your seeds. Make sure the seed envelopes have the names of the seed on them.
You will not be given an individual table to swap seeds. All seeds are given to the main table and we take the seeds to the tables. Please read up on this post for more information on how we handle seed donations.
We do not require a specific number of seeds per package. Package the seeds as you would like to receive them.
We do not require a specific type of seed packaging. The frenzy uses coin envelopes.
We do not limit the number of seed packages you take. You can take more than one package of a variety if you need it for your personal grow. Please do not use our seeds to support another seed swap. We do share our left-over seeds with other seed swaps. These seeds are given away at the end of the event.
We have all sorts of seeds, herbs, flowers, vegetables.
Yes, you can bring older seeds. If you pack the seeds please write the year the seeds were harvested.
This is a free event. We ask that you bring seeds to share if you cannot bring seeds please contribute to the food drive.
We can generally use volunteers the day of the event. The positions require a lot of standing and walking. If you are interested in helping please contact the page.
