16th Annual Original Collard Greens Cultural Festival

Why a Original Collard Greens Cultural Festival? As a community, in many ways we have always lived green. Our food is an expression of our love. Today, we must learn to take favorites like collards and prepare them in ways that are healthier. Our Collard Green Cook-off” for anyone who can cook the best greens in Georgia is a fun, creative way to inspire everyone to eat healthier.

What makes this festival different? It is all in the greens -- an exciting platform on which to build a better awareness about overall wellness. We plan to feed not only the senses and body with good food and music, but also feed the soul. Be prepared to feast on our vegetarian collard green dinners (greens, yams, black-eye peas, collard green muffins) and don't forget to leave room for the piece de resistance, collard green ice cream!

We are talking about more than just your Mother’s cooking. In addition, there will be a Collard Green Cook-off for the persons who can cook the meanest greens, a vegetarian cooking demonstrations. It is simple, you will leave wanting to “Eat Mo’ Greens!”
