16th Annual DFW Dragon Boat, Kite and Lantern Festival

Annual DFW Dragon Boat, Kite and Lantern Festival is a unique and premier multi-cultural and educational event in North Texas. With strong support from businesses, community groups, and city governments, the festival has attracted widespread participation and media attention, with more than 15,000 of spectators each year and growing. Over 50 race teams participated each year, including boy scouts, breast cancer survivors, cities, corporations, schools, and non-profit community groups. Dragon boat race teams came all the way from China, cities such as Austin and Houston, and other states like Louisiana, Oklahoma, Colorado and Florida. We are proud to be the first to bring Dragon Boating to North Texas. It has become one of the largest festivals focused on diversity in the Southwest.
