About this Event
16 Days of Activism: Domestic Abuse Awareness & Networking for Justice
Time: 10am - 2pm
Location: Shipman Youth Zone (SPORTS HALL)
Join Hestia for a powerful day of awareness, learning and networking as part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, a global campaign dedicated to ending violence against women and girls.
This year's theme, "Ensure Justice. Protect Survivors. End Impunity.", shines a spotlight on the barriers survivors face when seeking safety, support and justice, while calling for stronger responses from communities, services and institutions.
Bringing together professionals, partner organisations, community members and advocates, this event will provide an opportunity to:
- Increase awareness of domestic abuse and its impact on individuals, families and communities
- Explore what justice means for survivors and how we can create more accessible pathways to support
- Network with colleagues, local partners and sector professionals
- Share learning, best practice and resources
- Strengthen our collective response to domestic abuse and violence against women and girls
Whether you are a professional working in the sector or a member of the public interested in learning more, everyone is welcome to attend.
Together, during the 16 Days of Activism, we can raise awareness, promote justice, protect survivors and help create safer communities for all.
Hosted by Hestia | Open to professionals and members of the public.
