Climate change, habitat loss, and pollution threaten our ecosystems. Nature has always been our ally, providing sustenance and shelter. Yet, we now grapple with the consequences of our actions.
At this important time, Notre Dame Nature Study Club (NDNSC) stands as a beacon for environmental advocacy in Bangladesh. We are excited to announce the 15th National Nature Summit, scheduled for January 17th and 18th, 2025. This year’s theme is “Endeavor Towards a Plastic-Free World,” and we are moving with the tagline “Integrating Biodegradability, Reducing Plastic Reliability, Building a Sustainable Future.”
Join us for this inspiring gathering. We will unite passionate individuals from all walks of life—students, educators, and nature enthusiasts. Prepare for two days filled with inspiring talks, interactive workshops, and collaborative activities to ignite your passion for the natural world. Our summit offers a unique opportunity to:

*Participants are encouraged to bring their own water bottles to the festival. Special snacks will be provided for those who do, and water refilling stations will be available.

15th National Nature Summit Solo Event Details:
# Green Bee: Nature’s Quest
Are you ready to be buzzed about environmental action? The Green Bee competition is your chance to dive deep into the realms of ecology and earth systems! Join us as we tackle critical topics like biodiversity, ecosystems, and the importance of preserving our planet’s resources.
Here's what you need to know:
• Topic: Nature and Earth Sciences
• Format: (MCQ.)
• Duration: 30 Minutes
• Categories: Junior (Grade 6 to 8 ), Secondary (Grade 9 to 10), and Higher Secondary (Grade 11 to 12)
Rules and Regulations:
1. Participants will answer questions on subjects related to Nature and Earth Sciences.
2. The event will be held physically on the day of the event.
3. Participants must bring their own writing materials.
4. No electronic devices or reference materials are not allowed during the competition.

# Photo Exhibition: Capturing Nature
Join us for a captivating event where the creativity and talent of Secondary and Higher Secondary students will be showcased! This event invites students to embark on a photo walk, capturing the beauty of nature through their lenses. The best photographs will be displayed in an exhibition that celebrates artistic expression and environmental awareness.
Event Details:
• Open to: Secondary (Grade 9 to 10) and Higher Secondary (Grade 11 to 12) students.
• Date: 10 January 2025
• Time: 9 AM
• Location: Ramna Park, Dhaka
Rules and Regulations:
1. Each participant may submit a maximum of 3 photographs.
2. Both phone and DSLR cameras are permitted for capturing images.
3. Photos will be collected on the spot by the organizers. Participants must bring all necessary equipment to facilitate the immediate submission of their photographs.
4. Participants are required to wear modest attire suitable for the event.
5. All participants must carry their institutional ID cards with them.
6. After the selection process, participants will need to pay to frame each selected photograph. Payments can be made for only the photos they wish to exhibit.
7. The Google Registration Form must be filled out after payment to confirm participation.
8. All photographs must be original and taken during the designated photowalk.
9. Ensure that the photographs reflect the theme of our event.
10. Participants must respect the venue and not disturb wildlife or natural habitats during the photowalk. Any kind of unsocial activity will result in immediate disqualification.
How It Works:
• Photowalk Experience: Participants will embark on a guided photo walk to capture images inspired by the beauty of nature.
• On-the-Spot Submission: After the photo walk, participants must submit their photographs immediately for review.
• Framing Session: Selected participants will have the opportunity to frame their chosen photographs for display.
• Judging: Awards will be given based on the photographs exhibited, with criteria focusing on creativity, composition, and overall impact.

# Art Competition: Nature’s Canvas

This competition invites participants to draw inspiration from the natural world around them, channeling their artistic talents into a captivating masterpiece.
Event Details:
• Theme: Draw your perceptions of nature and its wonders.
• Duration: 1 hour
• Categories: Pre-Primary (Grade 0 to 2), Primary (Grade 3 to 5)
• Materials Provided: Only paper (A3 size). Participants must bring their own art supplies.
Rules:
1) Participants will receive one A3 sheet of paper; please handle it with care.
2) Use any drawing equipment of your choice: pencils, markers, paints, or pastels.
3) All artwork must be original and created during the competition time.
4) Participants must remain in the designated area during the competition.
5) Judges' decisions are final, and no disputes will be entertained.

# Environmental Report
Join us for the Environmental Report event, where participants will submit a comprehensive report on climate problems affecting their local area. This initiative aims to raise awareness and foster understanding of our environmental challenges.
Participants must adhere strictly to the specified format, which will be provided shortly. The submission should resemble a research article or a pilot research paper, highlighting key findings and insights into the climate issues in your region.

• Open To: Juniors (Class 6-8 ) to Higher Secondary (Class 10-12)
• Size Limit: Please ensure that all submissions for the wall magazine adhere to a size limit of 5" x 4".

○ Primary (Grade 3 to 5): Plastic and its Alternative
○ Junior (Class 6-8 ): Sound Pollution
○ Secondary (Class 9-10): Air Pollution in Dhaka City
○ Higher Secondary (Class 11-12): Climate Change and its Effects on Coastal Areas
Rules and Regulations:
1. This is a team-based event.
2. Each team must comprise 2-3 members.
3. Wall magazines that do not support the specified theme(s) and size will not be eligible for participation in the event.
4. All content must be original and created by the team members. Plagiarism will lead to disqualification.
5. Submissions will be judged based on creativity, clarity of message, visual appeal, and relevance to the theme.
6. Each wall magazine must include the team name, class, and a brief description of the topic at the bottom.

# Green Debate: Issues Plaguing the Earth
Join us for a dynamic 32-team debate competition focused on pressing environmental issues affecting our planet. This event provides an excellent platform for students from Higher Secondary levels to engage in thoughtful discussions and advocate for solutions to critical climate challenges.

Key Features:
• Theme: Issues Plaguing the Earth
• Format:
○ Online Phase: Initial debate round with all teams.
○ Offline Phase: Top teams compete in live finals.

• Team Composition: Higher Secondary (Grade 11 to 12)
Rules and Regulations:
1) Before each round, an impromptu motion will be given, and teams will have 25 minutes to prepare their arguments.
