On December 7, 2024, the People for People Foundation of Gloucester County will host the 15th Annual Wreaths of Remembrance Ceremony at the Gloucester County Veteranโs Memorial Cemetery in Monroe Township, NJ. Collectively with the Gloucester County Department of Veterans Administration, Lora and Rich Gess and the Rotary Club of Glassboro and hundreds of volunteers, 3900 wreaths will be placed on the graves while saying words of gratitude to honor the deceased veterans.Family members of the interred are asked to arrive by 9:00 am for a short reception and then a private laying of wreaths on their family memberโs graves. Starting at 9:30 am, a formal memorial ceremony is held by local dignitaries and the laying of wreaths at the memorial sites of the different branches of the military. Volunteers will than lay wreaths on the balance of the graves. The event is opened to the public.
Due to the large numbers of participants all parking will be at the Williamstown Middle School parking lot which is one mile from the cemetery. Shuttle buses will transport the volunteers to the cemetery starting at 8:15 am. Handicap designated cars ONLY will be allowed to park at the cemetery. There will be Handicap Accessible buses running from the High School as well. Please comply with all parking instructions.
