Get ready to welcome back one of Downtown Sanford’s most ridiculous traditions!
On Sunday, November 22nd from 2–6 PM, local businesses and teams will hit the streets with their creatively customized couches for an afternoon of couch racing, beer chasing, bragging rights, and absolute chaos.
Some teams are racing for the trophy. Some are going for fan favorite. Some are just hoping their couch survives the course.
Either way, it’s going to be a good time.
🏆 WANT TO RACE?
Couch Racing teams can have up to 5 people, with one person riding on the sofa at all times. Teams must stay the same throughout the competition, and you can race with fewer than five people if needed.
Team registration includes VIP access for the whole crew, including 5 sponsored drinks per member, VIP bar access, private restrooms, Pit Row access, prime viewing, and VIP lanyards.
Don’t have a full couch-racing squad? Enter the Recliner Races! 🛋️💨
Recliner teams only need 2 people, with one person pushing and one riding. Recliner teams receive the same VIP perks as the couch racers.
📧 After registering, teams will receive an email within 48 hours with race rules, setup times, team forms, and everything needed for race day.
