Please join us as we celebrate the 15th year of our Mother's Day "Walking the Girls" on Sunday morning, May 12, 8:30 AM at NORRISTOWN AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT'S ADMINISTRATION BUILDING! It's right across the street from where we always walk. This year's walk is dedicated to Donna McMahon, a 2nd grade teacher from Whitehall Elementary School, who passed away from breast cancer last week. Donna is a past honoree and all Unite For HER donations will be made in memory of Donna. This year our honorees are Sue Susan McClure and Erica Erica Prettyman Jarmon. So hopefully you are able to join us - wear pink, bring a friend, make it a family affair, even bring the dog! We collect donations,and the walk starts promptly at 8:30. It gets a little crowded, so get there early!
You have several options this year. You can walk from Whitehall Road to Burnside Ave and back for 1 mile. You can go on your own across the street and do the 1 mile walk or the 2 mile loop. You can even make a 5K out of it by going from Whitehall to Burnside and back and then do the 2 mile loop across the street. Booby Prizes will be posted upon your return!
Donations are gratefully accepted as cash, check made out to the honoree(s) or Unite For HER, or Venmo @Beth-Hagel indicating who the donation is for, or how you would like your donation allocated. If you would like to mail your check, please message me for the address. Donations will be accepted from now until May 12th.
In case of inclement weather, the decision to postpone the walk start time, or move it to another day will be posted here at 7:00AM on May 12.
