About this Event
Join students, faculty, alumni, community partners, and friends for an engaging afternoon exploring the intersections of the humanities and African & African Diaspora Studies at FIU through the lens of memory as practice and purpose. Program highlights include an opening ceremonial performance, panels, a poster exhibition, and a closing reception with food and networking. Featuring renowned Haitian American jazz trumpeter, composer, and educator Jean Caze and Bahamian dance educator, performance artist, choreographer, and FIU PhD candidate A’Keitha Carey.
