15 Years of Hot Numbers – Hard Card Three

Between 2016-2021 Drummer Lucas Keen was music programmer for Hot Numbers inviting an amazing range of musicians to play at Gwydir St and also appearing with his band.

Lucas debut play as writer, producer, and drummer 'A Waltz in New Orleans', began life as a radio drama written and aired in 2020 and was developed for live performance in 2021 with the support of The Arts Council.For the 2nd week of our 15th anniversary nights of live music

Lucas will return to Gwydir with Harris Darkin on Tenor Saxophone and J J Philip on Piano as Hard Card Three, this specially curated trio will be playing hard bop and more by the likes of Art Blakey, Abdullah Ibrahim and Pharoah Sanders.
