Budapest egyesülésének 150. évfordulója egybeesik a Budapesti Építészeti Filmnapok 15. születésnapjával. A fesztivál idén Budapestre, a 150 éves magyar főváros kihívásaira fókuszálunk. Programunkban egyaránt helyet kapnak az elmúlt másfél évtizedünk emlékezetes filmjei, Budapestről szóló rövidfilmek, vagy olyan, más városokban vagy tájakon forgatott munkák, amelyek rímelnek Budapest legfontosabb kérdéseire. Végső soron arra keressük idén a választ, hogyan akarunk élni a következő 15 vagy épp 150 évben.
A KÉK – Kortárs Építészeti Központ szervezésében megvalósuló fesztivál küldetése, hogy évről évre körképet adjon a világot, a régiót és Magyarországot aktuálisan foglalkoztató építészeti kérdésekről, valamint találkozási pontként szolgáljon építészek, filmkedvelők és érdeklődők számára egyaránt. Az építészetet és városfejlesztést közös ügynek tekinti, ezért célkitűzése, hogy párbeszédet kezdeményezzen az épített és nem épített környezetről, továbbá gondosan válogatott programjával gondolkodásra és cselekvésre ösztönözze közönségét.

► It’s time again for the Budapest Architecture Film Festival: this year 2-5 March in the Toldi Cinema!
The 150th anniversary of the unification of Budapest coincides with the 15th birthday of the Budapest Architecture Film Festival. This year, we are focusing on Budapest, the challenges of the 150-year-old Hungarian capital. The program will feature many memorable films of our past decade and a half, shorts about Budapest, or movies shot in other cities or landscapes that resonate with the most important questions about Budapest. In the end, this year we are seeking the answer to how we want to live in the next 15 or 150 years.
Organized by the KÉK – Contemporary Architecture Centre, the mission of the festival is to present an overview of architectural issues currently affecting the world, the region, and Hungary, and to serve as a meeting point for architects, film lovers and everyone else interested. The organizers believe architecture and urban development are common causes. Hence, the goal of the carefully-selected program is to initiate a dialogue about the built and unbuilt environment and to encourage the audience to think and act.
