(Before I pop in my usual spiel - I just want to say how incredibly grateul I am for the people who make this event what it is each year. You are all such talented, fun, and creative people, and I'm so fortunate to get to be in community with you!)Now...
It's the most wonderful day of the year: Handmade Holidays 2024!! The 14th annual happening of our beloved craft-stravaganza.
If you haven't been before, the concept is simple. Bring 10 handmade gifts. We will swap them around and you will go home with 10 fantastic hand created masterpieces to give or keep for yourself!
Be as creative as you’d like, and use your specific talents to their advantage. You don’t make things in a traditional sense? Perhaps you make music and would be willing to offer short lessons. There really aren’t any rules EXCEPT:
When I put out a call for final headcount a few days before the event, we need you to come if you say you’re coming! Otherwise we’ll just be waiting on you before we start.
Arrive anytime after 6 for social time; we’ll start the swap at 7. Bring wine or snacks to share if you'd like.
I've sent out a smattering of invites to those who have attended before, and those who are crafty (or who I think may be secretly crafty.) If you know someone who would love this and is reliable, feel free to invite them! Just make sure they RSVP here on the event, and that they understand the commitment.
This is one of my favorite days of the entire year and I’m so looking forward to seeing all of your many talents!
