Join us for an unforgettable evening under the stars aboard the historic USS Midway—where patriotism, purpose, and impact come together for our 14th Annual Be the Light Gala, presented by COX Communications.Set against the iconic backdrop of San Diego’s waterfront, this year’s gala invites you to step aboard one of our nation’s most storied aircraft carriers for a night of inspiration, connection, and meaningful giving.
Together, we will celebrate the life-changing work of Shelter to Soldier—Saving Lives, Two at a Time—rescuing dogs and training them as psychiatric service animals for post-9/11 Veterans living with the invisible wounds of service. We also extend our impact through our Morale Dog program, placing trained rescue dogs aboard U.S. Navy ships to support the morale and mental wellbeing of active-duty Sailors and Marines serving at sea.
Guests will enjoy a thoughtfully curated evening featuring elevated dining by The Wild Thyme Company, engaging program moments, and powerful stories that bring our mission to life—including our Mission Moment, presented by C.W. Driver. Surrounded by the legacy of those who have served, this experience offers a uniquely meaningful setting to honor our Veterans while directly supporting their path forward.
