About this Event

Brothers of the Western Region,

The 13th Annual Western Region Leadership Academy & College Brother’s Retreat, which will be held at the Grand Hyatt San Francisco on October 14-17, 2021. There will be a condensed virtual agenda option available for those that cannot attend in person.

The annual Western Region Leadership Academy & College Brother’s Retreat is a premier opportunity to invoke savvy thinking and instill tools to help us be better men and better Alphas. All members of the Western Region Leadership Team are expected to be in attendance. To align with prior WR Leadership Academies, each Alumni chapter shall have a minimum registration target of at least (2) brothers, and each college chapter shall have a minimum registration target of (1) brother. Please remember, these chapter-specific minimum registration targets are non-inclusive of brothers serving on the WR Leadership Team.

Chapter officers should make every effort to attend as IMDP training & certification, chapter compliance, and IMDP administrative tips and tools will be provided. A draft agenda will be available to view in the coming weeks.

Some social festivities will include a casual Thursday evening reception for all in-person attendees to kick off this year’s academy and retreat and nightly social gatherings to keep that Alpha spirit high.


Brothers may register for this year’s Leadership Academy & College Brothers Retreat and sponsor the registration fees for a college brother via Eventbrite.

Cancellation / Refunds / Transfers

No refunds will be honored directly through Eventbrite. However, refunds or cancellations may be honored by the Western Region on a case-by-case basis. All refunds or cancellations require a written and signed request from the purchaser sent directly to the Western Region Financial Secretary ([email protected]). All requests for cancellations or refunds must be EMAILED AND RECEIVED NO LATER THAN September 10th, 2021. A 25% administrative fee will be applied to all cancellations or refunds. Any changes or requests for registrant transfers following October 1st will not be honored. A “no show” will not receive a refund.


A nightly rate of $135.00 has been secured for this year’s participants; however, reservations must be made by September 10th, 2021, to take advantage of this rate. Negotiated rate includes high-speed internet. Discounted self-parking will be at the cost of $39/night on a first come first serve basis. Select the Discounted self-parking option on the Eventbrite to be added to the list and you may receive confirmation of the discount through the hotel upon check in. A 72-hour cancellation policy applies to avoid any cancellation penalties.

Additional COVID Protocols For Your Safety: All persons must where an approved N95 Respirator, Surgical Mask, or Face covering when inside the hotel. Hotel provides shields between guests and staff in main contact areas, social distancing measures are in place, staff temperature checks are conducted regularly, Property is cleaned with disinfectant, guests are provided with free hand sanitizer, staff wears personal protective equipment, cashless transactions are available, bed sheets and towels are washed at a temperature of at least 60°C/140°F, food service has been amended for enhanced safety, electrostatic spray is used for disinfection, and property follows a brand or regulatory agency's sanitization guidelines GBAC STAR (Hyatt).

Dining: The Grand Hyatt San Francisco features Restaurants, Bars, Lounge & Dining options. Enjoy a meal at OneUP Restaurant or snacks in the coffee shop/café. The hotel also offers room service (during limited hours). Wrap up your day with a drink at the bar/lounge. To-go breakfasts are served on weekdays from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM and on weekends from 7:00 AM to noon for a fee. Select vegan or vegetarian option on Eventbrite for the two lunches that are provided with your registration.
