Synopsis
Inspiring story of the young protagonist’s journey from failure in the 12th grade to the Indian Civil Service. Inspired from a real-life incident, it depicts the hardships and challenges that Manoj Sharma, a village lad from the hinterlands notorious for dacoits, has to encounter to fulfil his dream. His father loses job being a whistle blower. The local politician makes sure Manoj cannot find work in the village. His family survives through the gradual selling of its meagre livestock. Manoj harbors an impossible dream – to pass UPSC, the world’s toughest entrance exam. His competitors are over a million candidates from the finest educational institutes across India. For a poor village lad, with poor English and less resources, this is an impossible dream. In his quest he is aided by Shraddha, whose friendship, and later love, keeps him motivated.
