12th Annual Miami Zoo Run 2024

Experience a WILD time Saturday November 2 2024 at the 12th Annual ZooRun benefiting the Zoo Miami Wildlife Conservation Fund. Transport yourself to Amazon Asia and Africa as runners (and walkers) of all ages dash their way through Zoo Miami for the ZooKidsDash 5K and 10K. A new extended course has been added. A virtual 5K/10K option will remain available as well. Animal-themed costumes encouraged.

FAQs:

1) What time should I arrive at Zoo Miami?

They recommend you arrive at Zoo Miami at the following times: for the ZooRun 10K, arrive by 6:30 a.m.; for the ZooRun 5K, arrive by 7:00 a.m.; for the ZooKidsDash, arrive by 7:30 a.m. Participants must be lined up at their race start line by the designated cutoff time (10K 6:55 a.m., 5K 7:30 a.m., ZooKidsDash 8:00 a.m.). For the safety of our runners, participants who arrive at the start line after their race cutoff time will not be able to participate in their race.

2) What are the categories for the placer medals?

Premium placer medals will be given to the top male and female in the ZooRun 5K and ZooRun 10K for each of the following age categories: 0-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+.

3) Are strollers allowed at the race?

Strollers are only allowed for the 5K race, and only in the Tortoise corral. Registered participants of the 5K race may bring children in a stroller on race day. Children in strollers who have not signed up as participants of the ZooRun 5K or the ZooKidsDash will need to purchase discounted admission in order to enter the Zoo at the end of the race (children aged 2 and under are free).
