12th Annual Witches Brew

Tim Finnegan's opens its doors again on Friday, October 16th, from 6-9 p.m. for the signature 12th Annual Witches Brew fundraiser — a night of raffles, contests, and drink specials, capped off by a raffle drawing for a fully decorated bicycle donated by Richwagen's Delray Bike & Sport. Seats run $50 through October 1st and $75 after, with limited availability. Raffle tickets go on sale at Tim Finnegan's starting October 1st. Donors to todate include: Crane's Beach House Boutique Hotel & Luxury Villas; Delray Beach Ghost Tours; Lady Lenormand; Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society; Sande’s Restaurant; Silverball Museum; South Florida PBS, and Top Golf. 

It's one of several events leading up to the 15th Annual Witches of Delray Bike Ride. Achievement Centers for Children & Families will host its 15th Annual Witches of Delray Beach Bike Ride on Saturday, October 24th, the flagship event of a month-long lineup of Witches of Delray festivities benefiting under-resourced children and families in Delray Beach and surrounding communities. 

Fifteen years ago, a handful of costumed cyclists took over a few blocks of Atlantic Avenue for an afternoon. Today, the Witches Ride has grown into one of Delray Beach's most anticipated fall traditions, closing down Downtown for a morning of costumes, community, and cause — a legacy made possible by founder Andie Devoe, who together with her husband, Mike, spent years building the event from the ground up. Their vision and dedication laid the foundation for what the Witches Ride has become, and their fingerprints remain on every broom that takes flight down Atlantic Avenue. 

This year's Grand Witch of the Avenue Title Sponsor is BETR Project. “I’ve spent years working alongside the kids and teens at Achievement Centers, so I’ve seen firsthand how every dollar raised changes lives and strengthens our community. That’s why BETR Project is proud to be this year’s Grand Witch of the Avenue Title Sponsor. The ride takes off at 8:00 a.m. sharp, with the celebration continuing after with music, mingling, and awards for Best Costume, Best Witch Cackle, Best Decorated Broom (Bike), and Best Group Theme. Registration is $75 through October 1st and $100 beginning October 2nd. 

Once the ride wraps, the fun rolls on next door at Geronimo Tequila Bar and Southwest Grill, 105 E Atlantic Ave, Delray Beach, opening early at 10 a.m. just for the occasion. Riders and guests can toast the morning with family-friendly “spooky” brunch specials, and 10% of all sales that day will go directly back to Achievement Centers for Children & Families.
