I'M NEW, WHAT'S GOING ON HERE?
Cover show is back! What started out as an anti v-day
pop punk cover show has since evolved into the very specific genre of "whatever you loved to listen to in high school." Amateur to maestro musicians are starting bands, trying out instruments they don't usually play and are cosplaying their favorite bands to play the DIY basement at Make.Shift. These shows are about having fun and making friends and maybe starting new bands! We strongly suggest your fave bands from the 90s,
early 00's and of course pop punk.

OK SO, WHAT ARE THE RULES?
The rules are that you use our web submission form to submit for performance.
The deadline for entry is FRIDAY DEC 6th. at 5PM NO DM’s for communication.

I CAN COVER ANY BAND?
Well, we're saying no bands from 2024's show: PARAMORE, BLONDIE, OPERATION IVY, SCREECHING WEASEL, SUGARCULT, FUGAZI, THE MUFFS, FALL OUT BOY, EVE 6, THIRD EYE BLIND, DINOSAUR JR, WEEN
Space is limited! Not everyone will be able to play this year, we apologize in advance if your submission is not selected.
AW MAN, THIRD EYE BLIND IS MY FAVORITE BAND!

WHEN THE HECK IS THIS AMAZING, LIFE-CHANGING EVENT?
Friday February 14th, and Saturday February 15th
HOW LONG OF A SET SHOULD WE DO?
Plan for 20ish minutes of music. 6 or so normal length songs.
WHAT ABOUT GEAR?
Great question. Erik at Shibusa sound provides enough professional gear for a 4 piece rock band. You'll just need your guitars and pedals and some drum gear. We can make some accommodations for different types of configuration but due to the volume of performers and the need to keep things moving we are not able to accommodate your in-ear system or IEM set up. This is a plug in and go type of timeframe.
