12th Anniversary of The Ebony Rose Scholarship & Awards Gala, themed, Rooted in Purpose, Rising in Power. Located at the Downtown Marriott Hotel, 1213 Wyandotte St. KCMO. 64105. This is a prestigious Annual Black Tie or Formal fundraising dinner and celebration that award scholarships to students in the Kansas City Metro area and honors community leaders and nonprofits for the great work they do in serving our youth and families. Attire is black tie or formal. Guests are asked to dress for the occasion. Hosted by Angela Wildflower, a Kansas City native and Spelman College graduate, has made her mark on Broadway in "Motown The Musical" and has appeared on television and in films "Blue Bloods," "Raising Kanan," "Atlanta," "FBI," "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel," "Poker Face". We are honored to have Mikah Thompson, Associate Dean and Professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law as our keynote speaker.
