Hand aufs Herz: Wann hast du das letzte Mal darüber nachgedacht, dass du heute genau das sagen, tun und lassen konntest, was DU wolltest? Wir nehmen sie oft als gegeben hin, wie das WLAN in der Kaffeebar – aber die Demokratie ist kein Selbstläufer. Sie ist das Betriebssystem, auf dem unsere Freiheit läuft.

Weil wir finden, dass dieses System dringend mal wieder ein Update (und eine ordentliche Portion Wertschätzung) braucht, starten wir unsere neue Eventreihe FOCUS: Demokratie.

In gewohnter 12-Minuten-Manier bringen wir Expert*innen, Gestaltende und Visionär*innen auf die Bühne. Keine ausschweifenden Debatten, sondern Deep Dives mit Punch. Das erwartet euch:

1. Das Fundament: Was uns Demokratie eigentlich ermöglicht 🕊️

Wir werfen einen Blick auf das privilegierte Leben, das wir dank Demokratie führen können. Warum ist die Freiheit des Einzelnen der Motor für Innovation? Wir feiern das, was wir oft übersehen: Dass wir mitbestimmen, widersprechen und uns entfalten können. Demokratie ist nicht nur eine Regierungsform, sie ist unsere größte Chance.

2. Der Reality Check: Medien, Bildung & Durchblick 🧠

In einer Welt voller Fake News und Filterblasen ist Medienkompetenz die wichtigste Währung. Wie bilden wir uns eine eigene Meinung, ohne im Algorithmus-Sumpf zu versinken? Wir diskutieren, warum Bildung das Fundament für eine wehrhafte Gesellschaft ist und wie wir lernen, Fakten von Fiktion zu trennen.

3. Let’s Get Loud: Partizipation & die Gestaltenden von heute für morgen ✊

Demokratie ist kein Zuschauersport! Wir holen die Menschen und Initiativen ins Rampenlicht, die nicht nur meckern, sondern machen. Wer sind die Köpfe, die unsere Stadt, unser Land und unsere Gesellschaft aktiv mitgestalten? Lass dich inspirieren von Projekten, die zeigen: Deine Stimme zählt – auch außerhalb der Wahlkabine.

Zeit ist unser wertvollstes Gut – verschwende sie nicht! “Don’t waste your time!” – ist unser Motto und wir leben es. Wir bringen Bildung, Innovation und inspirierende Themen in ein lockeres Afterwork-Format, in dem Old und New Economy aufeinandertreffen.

Der Abend enthält 3x

• 12 Minuten Vortrag
• 12 Minuten Q&A
• 12 Minuten Networking

Wie halten wir unser Versprechen? Unsere Events beinhalten jeweils drei richtig informative, unterhaltsame und ehrliche Vorträge. Der Clue – jeder Speakerin hat genau 12 Minuten um ihre oder seine **Geschichte zu erzählen und alle wichtigen Inhalte wiederzugeben. Die Zeit läuft... Keine Sekunde länger! Danach ist das Publikum am Zug. Mit den Fragen und steigen wir tiefer ins Thema ein! Und, wie soll es auch anders sein? Auch Ihr habt 12 Minuten in der Fragerunde (Q&A). Nun folgen 12 Minuten Networking, damit ihr noch persönlich und direkt anknüpfen oder Euch einfach erfrischen könnt und bereit seid für den nächsten Vortrag.

Be honest: when was the last time you stopped to think that today you were able to say, do and let things be exactly as YOU wanted? We often take it for granted, like the Wi-Fi in a coffee shop – but democracy isn’t a given. It’s the operating system on which our freedom runs.

Because we believe this system is in urgent need of an update (and a good dose of appreciation), we’re launching our new event series FOCUS: Democracy.

In our usual 12-minute style, we’ll be bringing experts, doers and visionaries onto the stage. No rambling debates, just deep dives with punch. Here’s what you can expect:

1. The Foundation: What democracy actually enables us to do 🕊️

We’ll take a look at the privileged life we’re able to lead thanks to democracy. Why is individual freedom the driving force behind innovation? We’ll celebrate what we often overlook: that we can have a say, speak out and flourish. Democracy isn’t just a form of government; it’s our greatest opportunity.

2. The Reality Check: Media, Education & Insight 🧠

In a world full of fake news and filter bubbles, media literacy is the most important currency. How do we form our own opinions without getting bogged down in the algorithmic quagmire? We discuss why education is the foundation for a resilient society and how we learn to separate fact from fiction.

3. Let’s Get Loud: Participation & Today’s Shapers of Tomorrow ✊

Democracy isn’t a spectator sport! We’re putting the spotlight on the people and initiatives that don’t just complain, but take action. Who are the minds actively shaping our city, our country and our society? Be inspired by projects that show: your voice counts – even outside the polling booth.
