12/10, Ceramics & Sip Holiday Ceramics Workshop at Acheson Wine Co.!

Join us for a fun evening with Acheson wine to toast, and getting your hands dirty creating with clay! Make a holiday wall hanging or up to 2 ornaments or other creation to put in your space or hang up during the holidays! Perhaps even give it give as an original gift!

The tasting room will be closed to the public for this private event, for a more intimate setting. Make it a date or a lady's night or mans night!

Your instructor is Carey, a local artist and teacher with over 22 years of Ceramics experience! She has taught high school ceramics and now gives private lessons and small group classes to adults and children from her studio space! Clay is a medium that SHE LOVES! It is extremely relaxing to create with this natural material and just downright gratifying to get your fingers dirty!

In this workshop she will be sharing her wedging and homebuilding techniques for clay. Each piece will be glazed with non toxic glaze and will be functional art that can last for years for your holidays! Come be a part of this workshop to get your drink on, and create a holiday wall hanging or up to 2 handmade ornaments or other clay creation.

Included you will have clay, instruction by Carey Shaw, tools, glazing examples (the paint of clay) and the cost of 2 firings (the baking of the clay)-bisque and glaze firings! All materials will be provided, as well as one glass of complementary Acheson wine, and snacks. You can delight in a complimentary glass of wine with friends, family, or lovers and get your art on!

You will need to leave your piece(s) to fully harden & become bone dry, to be fired, glazed, and fired again. I will text you when your pieces are ready for pick up at Acheson Wine Co. or The Federalist. It will be fired, glazed and ready to use!
