About this Event
About this event

The workshop will be held June 24 from 1:00pm - 5:00pm and June 25 from 8:30am-12:00pm.

The upcoming workshop will primarily focus on the use, examination, and effectiveness of steels and alloys in the CCUS chain. It will cover various topics such as global trends in CO2 transport pipeline usage, advancements in protocols for evaluating material behavior in high-pressure CO2 environments, and the significance of primary components such as SOx, NOx, O2, and H2O in pipeline corrosion. The workshop's ultimate goal is to generate recommendations for corrosion testing and CCUS stream impurity standards, with the aim of reducing the likelihood of pipeline steel corrosion due to anthropogenic CO2 impurities. Furthermore, the workshop will explore opportunities to create and manufacture new steels that are less prone to corrosion.
