We believe that art can be a powerful medium for raising awareness, inspiring hope, and advocating for change. We invite you to channel your creativity to address the pressing issue of domestic violence.
For the 11th year, DVCCC is partnering with Chester County schools and art programs to highlight the talent of young artists through an art show open to all high school students in Chester County.
This year we are once again honored to have the support of our sponsors, The National Arts Program and Chester County District Attorney’s Office and our host, West Chester University Art & Design Department’s John H. Baker Art Gallery (in the E.O. Bull Center).
This year, we invite high school student artists to pick up your brushes, pencils, sculpting and digital tools (and more) and create change through your art. Let your creativity flow and be a voice for domestic violence awareness.
Our panel of esteemed judges will determine final award winners. Categories considered include – but are not limited to – understanding of contest themes, emotion, technique, creativity, and more.
All decisions made by the panel are final. Prizes will be given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners as well as the People’s Choice Winner.
Winners will be announced at a Reception Event & Awards Ceremony on April 3, 2027 and People’s Choice is voted on by the public and we be announced on April 9, 2027.
The winning piece from our annual High School Student Art Contest will be featured on the cover of the 2026-2027 Domestic Violence Center of Chester County Annual Report.
We encourage all artists to attend our reception event and awards ceremony to receive recognition and to encourage family and friends to vote for the People’s Choice. Voting will be available both in person and online (through DVCCC’s website and social media). Artists are encouraged to share widely.
Please use the button below to pre-register by Friday, March 27th, 2027 and read/download the contest rules and submission paperwork (to be attached to your artwork).
Artwork will be due for drop-off to or pick-up by DVCCC on or before Tuesday, March 30th, 2027– to coordinate, or with any questions, please email Amelia at [email protected]
