Heads Up For Our Youth Presents the 11th Annual Back to School Rally
Get ready for one of the Triad's biggest free family events of the year! Join Heads Up For Our Youth for the 11th Annual Back to School Rally, a day filled with excitement, entertainment, resources, and opportunities designed to help students and families start the school year prepared and inspired.
The event will be hosted by special guest Leah McNair, with a special message from Jeremiah Jett, last year's scholarship recipient, whose inspiring story is a testament to what preparation, perseverance, and community support can achieve. The energy will stay high all afternoon with Supa Producer DJ Vanex on the 1's and 2's, keeping the crowd engaged with great music and interactive fun.
Families will enjoy exciting Shared Experience games and activities, including Name That Tune, Finish the Lyric, and Red Light, Green Light with special guest Richie Free. The celebration will also feature special performances by the James B. Dudley High School Band and the electrifying JOGG Cheer Cheerleaders.
Students will receive one of 1,000 FREE bookbags filled with school supplies, along with free socks and underwear to help them begin the school year with confidence. Families can also connect with more than 20 community organizations offering valuable services, including blood pressure screenings, family therapy resources, after-school programs, educational support, health information, and much more.
The day will also include life-changing opportunities, including two $20,000 Winston-Salem Barber School Scholarships, giving students a pathway toward a rewarding career.
