Astrix (alias Avi Shmailov), ist zweifellos der Anführer der Psy-Trance-Wurzeln. Er hat sich als erstklassiger Künstler etabliert, was deutlich an seinem einzigartigen und melodischen Musikstil zu erkennen ist. Live-Auftritte und das Auflegen seiner Musik auf der ganzen Welt haben ihm dabei geholfen, seinen Weg in die DJMAG-Top-100-DJ-Liste zu ebnen. Astrix liegt derzeit auf Platz 41 und ist einer der wenigen Künstler in der Szene, der in der elektronischen Tanzmusik wirklich große Wellen schlägt allgemeine Anerkennung erlangen. Er wurde Anfang der 80er Jahre in Russland geboren, wuchs in Tel Aviv auf und begann 1995 mit der Musik der 80er und alternativer Musik. Als er zum ersten Mal Goa-Trance hörte, kam es ihm so vor, als spielte er europäischen New-Wave-Sachen und etwas Elektro wie die richtigen Kombinationen dieser beiden Klänge ... Es machte einfach vollkommen Sinn und so begann er 1997 Musik zu machen und im Jahr 2002, nachdem er viele Titel auf verschiedenen Compilations veröffentlicht hatte, machte er sein erstes Solo-Psy-Trance-Album „Eye“. to Eye“ (HOM-mega Records), das aufgrund seiner überragenden Musikproduktion als eines der bisher besten Alben gilt und seinen einzigartigen Ansatz widerspiegelt, eine feine Balance zwischen dem Chaos auf der Tanzfläche und der Coolness des Zuhörens zu Hause zu finden. Im Jahr 2004 war Astrix Headliner einer großen Party im Londoner Alexandra Palace anlässlich der Veröffentlichung seines zweiten Produktionsalbums „Artcore“ (HOM-mega Records). Psy-Trance-Fans kamen in Scharen zu seiner riesigen Party und sagten, wenn ein Mann seinem Stil treu geblieben sei, dann sei es Astrix!

Progressive Experience has developed into the most successful regular indoor event in Switzerland over the past 10 years, and this is absolutely justified. All the top acts of the scene were hosted, such as Infected Mushroom, Astrix, Neelix, Liquid Soul, Morten Granau Mandragora etc etc etc. The quality was always worked on with new decoration teams and specials, but above all the constant, the passion for the music and in particular the selected guests have led to this successful development.
For the 11th anniversary, these values and formulas for success are brought out again.
Astrix (aka Avi Shmailov), is undoubtedly the leader of the Psy-Trance roots. He has established himself as a top-notch artist, which is clearly evident in his unique and melodic musical style. Performing live and playing his music around the world has helped him pave his way onto the DJMAG Top 100 DJ list. Currently ranked at number 41, Astrix is one of the few artists in the scene to really make major waves in electronic dance music and gain mainstream recognition. He was born in Russia in the early 80s, grew up in Tel Aviv and started playing 80s and alternative music in 1995. When he first heard Goa trance, it seemed to him that he was playing European new wave stuff and some electro like the right combinations of those two sounds... It just made perfect sense and so he started making music in 1997 and in 2002, after releasing many tracks on various compilations, he made his first solo psy-trance album “Eye”. to Eye” (HOM-mega Records), which is considered one of the best albums to date due to its outstanding music production and reflects his unique approach to finding a fine balance between the chaos of the dance floor and the coolness of listening at home. In 2004, Astrix headlined a major party at London's Alexandra Palace to mark the release of his second production album "Artcore" (HOM-mega Records). Psy-trance fans flocked to his huge party and said that if there was one man who stayed true to his style, it was Astrix!
