Our 10th Annual Summer Summit will be held in Madison at La Follette High School.
Join us in Madison to take a stand for welcoming and inclusive public schools that provide equal opportunity for all students. It’s time to come together to demand and deliver the thriving public schools our students and educators deserve! This year’s Summit provides opportunities to put our appreciation and accountability into action as we learn, plan, and strategize around the themes of racial justice, educational equity, and unfair impacts of disinvestment and privatization on students attending Wisconsin public schools.
WHAT: 10th Annual Wisconsin Public Education Network
Summer Summit hosted by the Madison Metropolitan School District & Madison Teachers Inc.
WHO: Wisconsin Public Education Network statewide partners — educators, parents/caregivers, school & district leaders, community members, business leaders, and YOU! This event unites everyone who is ready to take action for Wisconsin kids.
WHEN, WHERE, & HOW:
- Tuesday, July 30: organizing workshop (registration required) and welcome reception at the Goodman Community Center (214 Waubesa St. Madison, WI 53704)
- Wednesday, July 31: all-day conference (includes lunch!)
at La Follette High School (702 Pflaum Rd, Madison, WI 53716) and post-Summit Vote Public Mappy Hour at the Biergarten at Olbrich Park (3527 Atwood Ave, Madison, WI 53714)
- Tickets: $40 (includes Summit attendance (w/ lunch) & 7/30 workshop registration & evening welcome reception);
$100 (Blue Ribbon Partner Pass, includes t-shirt & drawing
ticket); FREE for Madison Metropolitan School District
employees and other sponsors as notified; discounted
prices and scholarships available as needed
WHY: Because Wisconsin kids can’t wait. We must unite to
advocate for the excellent public schools our communities
demand and our children deserve, holding our lawmakers, our
schools, and ourselves accountable at every level.
