Update as of August 9th, 2021:
To our valued participants, vendors, sponsors:
We had high hopes that this, our 10th Anniversary, would be an opportunity to celebrate together - and an opportunity for us to truly express to our participants and sponsors, the incredible impact your support has made in the lives of our Lynn Cancer Institute patients.
However, as a hospital, we are in a unique and important position to care for our patients and community and consider this our top priority. Hence, it would be irresponsible for us to put anyone at risk by hosting a live event at this time.
We encourage everyone to plan a safe virtual walk/ run with family and friends. We will continue to update you with announcements, updates and online challenges! We promise to keep this “At Home” Edition very interactive and fun! More information to come!
Join us virtually on August 29th at 7:30 am for a short program! If you’re unable to run on the 29th we encourage you to run throughout the week of the 21st and send us your pictures!
**************************************************************************

We are cautiously optimistic that we will see, with the vaccine, a drop in the number of Covid cases in our area. However, safety is of the utmost importance and we have concluded that the best decision is to convert the 10th Annual Run for the Ribbons to a hybrid event for this year.

What exactly does this mean?
· We will be pushing the date back to Sunday, August 29, 2021 in anticipation of the majority of our community receiving their vaccines.
· We will hopefully be offering a live event, with staggered start times for the runners and finally a later start time for our one mile participants.
· We will also offer a virtual participation option for those supporters who are out of the area or those who choose to participate on their own.
· For our sponsors and vendors, we plan to set up a “Vendor Village” with individual tents and tables set up about 8ft apart.
· We are pleased to announce that our 10Th annual Run for the Ribbons 2021 will also serve as the kick-off for our Cancer Survivor Day event, which will be held over a two week period rather than having our cancer patients congregate on one day at the Lynn Cancer Institute.
As in the past, we are actively working with our race management group, as well as our on-line vendor, RunSignUP, to be sure that we are aggressively promoting our virtual event in order to maintain the highest level of participation.

The overall benefit of our race is to support the programs and patient enhancements for our oncology patients through the League of Ribbons. We have loved getting everyone together in support in the past, but this year, we plan to be safe and encourage social distancing while continuing to support our amazing cause.
We are grateful for your continued support, we pray that you, your families, staff, and co-workers remain safe and well as we continue to navigate the COVID 19 crisis.
We believe that better days are to come and we will all get through this together as a community united in our efforts.
Keeping in mind, that if anything changes in regards to the Corona Virus and social distancing – we will adhere to our Baptist Health guidelines and our race options may change.
Boca Raton Regional Hospital, the Lynn Cancer Institute and Baptist Healthcare System combined have been and continue to be well prepared throughout this pandemic; we are proud of and grateful for our frontline healthcare workers who are true heroes – as each of you are as well.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to email or call Jan Dymtrow at 561-955-5097 / [email protected].
