108 Sun Salutations - Yoga, massage, wine tasting

Let's welcome the start of Winter and the shortest day of the year with 108 Sun Salutations with Yoga Instructor, Catey Miller. Winter is a time to reflect, let go of whatever isn't serving you and invite self-reflection. The repetition of 108 salutations invites a moving mediation that will draw you into the present and create space for the practice of wintering.

We will break down our 108 into 4 lovely units. 4 sets of 27! I invite each of you to bring 4 tangible objects to your mat. Ideas could consist of; a crystal, a meaningful item to you, a special picture, you get the idea... Each item will serve as a focal point for one set of 27 Sun Salutations. Once we are finished with one unit, we will remove that item from our focus. Get creative. Maybe there is something you want to focus on and then "let go of", perhaps there is someone you want to remember or devote your mind to for one set. This is all optional, but partaking in this activity will help cultivate a deeper, more meaningful practice. After each unit of 27, you will be offered a moment to rest in Child's Pose to reset for our next unit.

Please remember to "COME AS YOU ARE", meaning adapt the Yoga to YOU not yourself to the Yoga. Allow permission to take any and all modifications and rest breaks you may need at any time! This is a challenge and just being on your mat is a perfect choice.

Following our Winter Solstice Salutations, we will have a wine tasting AND a chance to get a mini-chair massage from a licensed Massage Therapist, Abby Davis.
