Join Us for 106.9 The Fox and FM99's 28th Mayflower Marathon Holiday Food Drive!Presented by Bud’s Plumbing Heating, Air Conditioning and Electric, and hosted by Kroger in partnership with Coliseum Central, this event aims to bring joy and nourishment to families facing food insecurity in the greater Peninsula. Benefiting the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank, the drive runs from November 22nd to 24th.
The Mayflower Marathon is our largest holiday food drive, having provided millions of meals over the past 27 years. With rising food and fuel costs, many individuals are facing tough choices between essentials like rent and food. Your support is crucial during these challenging times.
How to Help:
- Drive-Thru Donations (Food & Money): Easily donate without leaving your vehicle! Volunteers will be on-site to collect your contributions.
Most Needed Items:
- Peanut Butter and Jelly
- Mac and Cheese
- Canned Fruit, Applesauce, or Fruit Cups (in juice or unsweetened)
- Canned Protein (Chicken, Spam, Vienna Sausages, Tuna, Potted Meat)
- Cornbread and biscuit mixes, tortillas
- Cereal, Oatmeal, and Pancake Mix
- Low Sodium Hearty Soups
- Boxed Meal Kits
- Boxed and Instant Potatoes
- Pasta (regular, whole wheat, and rice noodles)
- Pasta Sauces (alfredo and tomato-based)
- Rice (white and brown; regular, boxed, and microwaveable packs)
- Condiments (Ketchup, mayo, mustard, syrup, soy sauce, BBQ sauce)
- Canned pasta meals
- Canned and Dried Beans (mostly pinto, black, navy, and kidney)
Monetary donations are also welcome; every dollar can provide the equivalent of three meals.

Kroger (5007-2 Victory Blvd, Tabb/Yorktown)
- Friday & Saturday, 7 AM - 7 PM; Sunday, 7 AM - 3 PM
Kroger (1050 W. Mercury Blvd, Hampton)
- Friday, 5:30 AM - Sunday, 3 PM
