1000 Watt Prophets are an all-star power trio comprised of mainstays from the Michigan festival scene. Featuring Zak Bunce (guitar/vocals), Denny Richards (bass/vocals) and Sean Reisig (drums/percussion/vocals), the band draws from a number of musical traditions that combine to create a sound rich in vocal harmony, groove, and soulfulness.
The Prophets set themselves apart as a band that can truly take any size stage, able to break down to acoustic instruments and percussion as well as ramping up to a fully electric band. The menu of originals and deep cut covers draw from soul, roots rock, blues, funk, R&B, New Orleans jazz, gospel, Motown, and more. Watch for a late summer/early fall release of their first EP, tentatively titled "Paint the Moon."
