One hundred years ago the Discovery – built in Dundee in 1901 for Captain Scott’s first Antarctic voyage – was designated a Royal Research Ship; the first of its kind.
It was bestowed the title of 'Royal Research Ship' in 1925. Now, 100 years on we're reuniting the first Discovery with the fourth ship of this name! We're also celebrating this centenary by hosting a series of fun activities for ocean explorers of all ages!
