100 Years of 35mm Film: Leica Cameras at Locust Street Art
About this Event
In 1925, Leica released the first 35mm film camera, and subsequently opened the world of candid photography to the general public. In honor of the 100th anniversary of Leica, Film Photographer Bob Schultz will be running a four week workshop with LSA instructor Tim Kujawski—learn all about Leica and what makes their cameras special in this unique workshop!
Workshop Dates & Overview:
Week One (August 5th): Meet in the classroom at LSA to talk about the history of Leica and get used to the cameras.
Week Two (August 12th): Meet at the Delaware Park Rose Gardens to use the cameras and shoot your roll of 35mm film. Rain date will be 8/13 or 8/14 if necessary.
Week Three (August 19th): Meet back at LSA to process your film.
Week Four (August 26th): Meet at LSA to develop prints in our darkroom!
This workshop is for ages 16+
Accessibility
Locust Street Art is located in a historic building with eight steps to access our main entrance. A side entrance is available for students with limited mobility—this entrance has four steps to access our main hallway. We are currently fundraising to make our building more accessible.
