100 Hour Vinyasa Immersion

Bee Well Yoga's 100 hour vinyasa immersion program is an exploration of classical and modern yoga for yoga practitioners and yoga teachers. Vinyasa Yoga is a powerfully healing yoga practice that links movement and breath, but it is the breath that connects us to a deeper understanding of our body, our mind and our spirit. In this program you can expect to deepen your yoga knowledge, expand your asana practice, gain a beginner's understanding of the history and philosophy of yoga, learn pranayama techniques for healing the body and mind and begin the process of sharing yoga through teaching.

The Yoga Practice
Asana, Pranayama, Bandhas

~ Explore the body, the mind, the spirit and how the breath creates the connection to wholeness
~ Learn the Sanskrit pronunciation of each posture
�~ Understand asana alignment, modifications and variations�~ Develop foundations of pranayama�
~ Explore bandha engagement and use in the yoga class
�~ Experience and practice various sequencing styles

Yoga for the Body
Anatomy, Physiology and Physical Adjustments

~ Anatomy for safe and stable alignment
~ Description of basic movements in the body and examples in yoga
~ How connective tissue intimately relates to flexibility
~ Muscular, skeletal and nervous system overview, its workings, function, and dysfunction
~ Students will learn how to adjust the body energetically and therapeutically
~ Introduction to Thai Yoga Massage
~ Common injuries and imbalances in modern yoga and life

Yoga for the Mind
The History of Yoga, Chakras and Modern Psychology

~ Study the history of yoga and the evolution of the practice in modern times
�~ Explore psychology and relationship between emotions and tension
~ Understand the energetic chakra system, specific yoga postures, mudras, mantras, and visualization techniques to open, awaken and balance each of your chakras

Yoga for the Spirit
Meditation and Sound

~ Students will experience the profound affects of stillness, silence and mantra as it changes our cells from the inside out...asana for the mind, the inner being
~ Practice various meditation techniques and decide what works for you

Requirements Prior to Training

All enrolled applicants will be required to complete the following before the training starts:

A) Observe 3 vinyasa (dynamic flow or slow flow) classes at Bee Well Yoga and write about your observations and questions.

In preparation for the training, successful candidates are required to purchase all books from the reading list and read the Bhagavadgita as well as the Yoga Sutras in order to have some background knowledge before the training commences.

Graduation Requirements

In order to achieve certification, you must, complete and submit:
All pre-training homework assignments.�
Attend every session of the contact hours during the training.�
Achieve a passing grade on any exams given during the contact hours of the training.�
Complete all of the assignments given during the training.�Complete and submit all supporting documentation and assignments relating to the post-training.

What books and supplies will I need?
You are required to purchase books and supplies for the training. Upon enrollment, you will receive the book list and required supplies.

Is this program only for yoga teachers?
No. This program is an immersion in vinyasa yoga. Upon completion, you will be able to create, guide, and practice a customized Yoga program for yourself (and others) .

Can this program be used to complete a Yoga Alliance 200 HR teacher training certification?
Yes. This program pairs with our Yin/Restorative/Meditation 100 HR immersion which will begin in August 2021. Upon completion of both programs, you will be able to register for a 200 HR Yoga Alliance Certification.
