About this Event

As you know, nothing is more important than the health of our families and ourselves. Acknowledging that fact, the 100 Black Men of Greater Charlotte is hosting a Free Community Health Fair on February 25th, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, at the Police Activities League Center, 1330 Spring Street, Charlotte, NC 28206.

The 100’s health and wellness goals are to raise awareness, provide access to health care and give health information that will ultimately promote behavior change resulting in a healthier lifestyle. At the national and local level, our organization and Chapter affiliates partner with corporations, foundations, and other nonprofit organizations to promote preventative health strategies and provide education on prevalent diseases that negatively impact African Americans. The 100, through its Health and Wellness Committee, works with other synergistic organizations to develop strategic partnerships to raise a collective voice to help increase awareness and provide health education to mitigate chronic conditions and diseases that plague the African American community.

Health & Wellness, along with Mentoring, Economic Empowerment & Education, is the foundation for the 100 Black Men of Charlotte organization. Organizing local health agencies that provide free services to the Charlotte community is critical to combat COVID-19 variant cases and the long-term negative medical factors commonly observed in the Black / African American community. We hope that through direct action, we can address this and other chronic conditions, such as Diabetes and Hypertension, that continually plague our communities.

The following organizations will be participating in the Fair and will provide the following services:
