About this Event
Forget the glossy “dream job” brochures and the one-size-fits-all career path. This is not your average networking event. This is a day where youth and everyday adults meet in the messy middle – swapping real stories, the wins, the failures, and the “I-have-no-idea-what-I’m-doing-but-I’m-doing-it-anyway” moments. Impact making is for the everyday person. How can a young person find their voice in this messy world to make it a better place?
Commissioned by the National Youth Council and organised by Bettr Academy, the Summit is about asking bigger, braver questions:
💭 What if your career was more than a paycheck?
💭 What if “success” also meant showing up for the causes you care about?
💭 What if making an impact was part of your everyday work – not just a weekend volunteering gig or a once-off donation for tax deductions?
Here’s what’s brewing:
- 🔥 4 unfiltered fireside chats with changemakers making real impact in the real world. No fluff, just truth.
- ⚡️Over 10 exhibitor booths where you can meet social entrepreneurs, community builders, and purpose-led organisations who are changing the game – and looking for the next generation to join them.
- 💥 No fluff. No fake “inspirational” stories. Just the messy, honest truth about making an impact.
Come curious. Leave inspired.
And maybe… leave a little less certain about the “safe” path – and a lot more excited about the Bett(e)r one.

Hot Seat Sessions
🕑: 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
#1: Work, But Make It Worth It
Host: Pamela Chng, CEO & Co-Founder, Bettr Group
Info: Jobs aren’t just about paychecks—they’re about purpose, people, and not losing your soul in the process. This chat gets real about what “doing good work” actually means, what young folks want from employers (and vice versa), and how to cut through the career anxiety spiral with some honest conversation.
🕑: 12:30 PM - 01:30 PM
#2: Beyond the Apron
Host: Daniel Yeow, Co-Founder, The Social Space
Info: Hospitality is hard, but it’s also human magic. This conversation is about changing perceptions of F&B, recognizing the skill and professionalism behind the scenes, and how “doing good” in this industry makes the world warmer (and tastier).
🕑: 02:00 PM - 03:00 PM
#3: CTRL + ALT + Good
Host: Andrea Y. Park, AI Skilling and Advisor, Microsoft
Info: Tech and comms are everywhere—shaping what we know, who we trust, and how we connect. This conversation asks: how do we use that power for good instead of chaos? And what responsibility comes with building the digital world we all live in?
🕑: 03:30 PM - 04:30 PM
#4: Building Worlds We Actually Want to Live In
Host: Marlene Rothschild, Associate Director, The Foundry
Info: A good playlist won’t fix a toxic office or a polluted planet. We’re digging into how culture and environment go hand in hand, why the spaces we build matter, and what “doing good” really looks like when it comes to sustaining art, earth, and people.
The Purpose Playground
🕑: 10:00 AM - 04:30 PM
The Purpose Playground
Host: Reactor School
Info: Step into a buzzing showcase of 10+ social enterprises, community orgs, and purpose-led businesses redefining what “good work” looks like. Beyond the booths? Real opportunities for youth—internships, volunteer gigs, mentorship, and programs you can actually jump into.
