10 Years Of Trancendent: Open To Close
For a long time it's been a dream to share something special with those who have supported my passion over the years. A decade long labour of love. It's a huge achievement as a DJ to present an open to close set, to be able to showcase my collection of music, share a part of myself, and deliver something truly unique as I build a journey over the course of the night.
Getting behind a set of CDJs, 12 years ago, is among one of the best things that's ever happened to me. Since I was a young kid I've been in love with music, I've always had the gift of being able to feel the groove without quite understanding how — fast forward to my 20s I started spending hours collecting music, discovering genres that evoked diverse emotion, and honing my mixing skills as an artist. I was hooked instantly. I spent many years practicing, not because I wanted to get somewhere, or be someone. I did it because I had found my passion, and I couldn't get enough. I found a home with music. It became my therapy.
Through sharing my love for music I was given the opportunity to play in front of people, and got a taste of the gratifying experience of creating transcending moments for others. I'll never forget seeing people I didn't even know be completely vulnerable with me on the dancefloor, and losing themselves, even just for a moment — It was where my heart was. It was clear, it doesn't matter if it's one person or 1000. That feeling of bringing genuine joy to someones life, that to this day, 10 years later is what it's all about for me.
From humble beginnings it has been a privilege to grow together on my journey as an artist, receive constant support and love, and to share small moments with those who have been a part of the ride.
This celebration is more than just an event; it's my heartfelt thank you to all of you who have danced with me over the years. Your kind words and open hearts have been the drive behind my expression and love for music.
