What is the 10+ Preparation Classes?

Our 10+ Preparation Programme provides knowledge and instruction in all topics and areas including maths, creative writing, comprehension, non verbal reasoning, verbal reasoning, exam practice and interview experience. We prepare for the entrance exams for most private and grammar schools in London and the surrounding counties, and have successfully prepared over 800 children to date for schools such as Whitgift, Emmanuel, City of London, King’s College, North London Consortium, Putney High and many more.

Bear in mind, many children will not be able to achieve the high results required for admission (depending on how soon preparation begins, the natural abilities of the child, and the increasing levels of competition) and so we carry out ongoing assessment in order to let you know as soon as possible how likely it is for your child to pass and under which circumstances success will be most likely. We operate a strict policy whereby we only continue tuition for children who are suitable in terms of ability, potential and personality. We provide feedback on these issues and will be in a position to comment on this after 4-8 weeks of instruction (depending on the level and age of child).Our classes are built to provide your child with all of the information, techniques and confidence required to be a successful candidate for your chosen schools’ entrance exams.

How is the 10+ Preparation Classes structured?

Children attend our weekly classes every Saturday to be taught in a small group setting of a maximum of 6 per tutor/teacher. Each week, children are taught several topics covering the 10+ syllabus so they can gain the know-how to answer 10 plus questions. Every 6 weeks, students benefit from mock test practice so we can gauge their progress and they can get the much needed experience to pass the 10+ exams.

Children must complete mandatory homework which is the linchpin to academic progress and 10+ success. Our aim is to prepare our students for different exam formats to give them the adaptability to overcome any last minute changes schools may throw at them at the last hurdle, which has happened to most children over the past 2 years.

Despite our classes serious intent, we believe children should be inspired and encouraged to enjoy learning. This is why our class environment and lesson structures are built to be fun and engaging. This means that your child will be happy to learn, and more often than not, leave with a smile on their face and some new friends.

When are the classes?

Every Saturday 10.30am - 1pm

This will be held at our convenient London location: Westminster City School. This is around five to ten minutes walk from Victoria station.

Who are our teachers and what is the class size?

11 Plus London’s founders have a combined experience of more than 20 years in entrance exams, and over the past 12 years, we have overseen instruction to over 800 students, reaping remarkable results with a success rate of over 90%. Each course is carefully prepared offering high quality tuition, material and feedback for your child.

How much does it cost?

Our 10+ preparation classes cost £380 per month.

Students can participate in just one subject (English/Maths) costs £225 per month.

A free trial class is offered to all.
