10 Barrel Brewing's 5th Annual Pearl Ball Holiday Party

Like getting fancy? We do too! Let's celebrate the holidays together on Saturday, December 17th for our 5th annual Pearl Ball Holiday Party!

Our previous badass, Brewmaster Whitney Burnside brewed the inaugural Pearl IPA back in early 2015 when we first opened our Portland location and since then it has been a staple in the Portland beer line-up. Regulars and first-timers alike all love this beautiful IPA made with Amarillo, Cascade, Mosaic and Simcoe hops, named for our neighborhood – the Pearl District.

In 2017 we decided that such an amazing beer with such a devoted following deserves its very own event, and the Pearl Ball was born. We put on our fanciest tuxedo tees – because even a Very Fancy beer event is still a beer event. Pearl Ball has evolved over the years, bringing bigger bands, whiskey and champagne tastings, more food options and even a fortune teller.

Fast forward to 2022, we have finally reached our 5th annual Pearl Ball. This year we are bringing a Dark Circus themed event to the Pearl Ball experience. Expect to see aerial dancers, stilt walkers, acrobats, a bolder food experience, carnival games & even a fun house while still incorporating the upscale attire, holiday cheer, & big bands that Pearl Ball as become to be known for!

However, like every year, along come changes. With the departure of our GM Emily and our head brewer Whitney. We’d like to welcome our new badass Brewmaster, Madeleine McCarthy aka (Mads) and let us tell you, she’s a brewing machine with some of the most anticipated beers 10 Barrel has had to offer. Stay on the look out for new Pearl driven IPAS, Lagers, stouts and sours.
