Betsy, as everyone calls her, is the CEO and president of the Community Foundation. She manages daily operations and works closely with the Board of Trustees to implement policy and to create impact that is long-lasting and meaningful now and for future generations. Betsy has more than 30 years’ experience working with nonprofits and loves the thrill of making donor’s charitable dreams come true.
The Community Foundation is dedicated to connecting people who care with causes that matter to enrich the quality of life in Frederick County now and for future generations. Last year we distributed $6.3 million in grants to local nonprofits and $1.8 million in scholarships to local scholars.
