Blind Dating in the Age of Fantasy!
Join us at GRG Event Hall for a Valentine's Day-themed Warhammer the Old World Random Doubles Event on February 8th! This is your chance to experience love on the battlefield in the most unexpected way—randomly paired allies, epic battles, and endless fun!
Event Details:
Doors Open: 9:00 AM
Round 1 Starts: 9:30 AM sharp!
Rounds: 3 total, each 2.5 hours long
Breaks: 30-minute lunch break after Round 1 and a 15-minute break after Round 2
Chess clocks: We will be providing and enforcing the use of chess clocks to guarantee equal time among players. There are no point based penalties for going over time.
How It Works: Each round, you'll be paired with a new mystery teammate, and together you’ll face off against two randomly assigned opponents. It’s a blind date on the battlefield—trust, teamwork, and tactical prowess are key!
What You Need:
1750-point army list (and everything required to play).
3D printed models and other third party models are allowed as per our Event Model Proxy document.
Army transport trays are recommended but not required
Armies do NOT need to be painted, but there’s a special treat for the artists among us!
Best Painted Couple Prize: Enter two fully painted heroes from your army to compete for Best Painted Couple! Showcase your best and let the community vote on their favorites.
Mercenaries, allies, and special characters are allowed! This is an all-out love-fueled brawl, so bring your most formidable army. Note: No newly released rules or armies will be permitted after the January 25th cut-off.
Prizes Galore! We'll be awarding:
1st and 2nd place for best battle scores
Favorite Couple (voted by players for best teammate and opponent)
2 Best Painted Couple entries
All prizes will come from entry fees collected.
