007 has been rocking steady in New Orleans since 2000. The brainchild of G Love andSpecial Sauce drummer Jeffrey Houseman Clemens, 007 is a forum for playing greatJamaican music from the 60s by such artists as Desmond Dekker, Bob Marley andToots Hibbert (Toots and the Maytals). 007s members also play in some of the areasbest bands. Bassist Joe Cabral fronts The Iguanas on Bajo Sexto and tenor saxophone.Composer and guitarist Jonathan Freilich founded the New Orleans Klezmer All-Starsand plays guitar in many styles from jazz to folk. Alex McMurray plays guitar and singswith Tin Men and the Happy Talk Band. Infectious dance grooves combined with threepart harmony singing and brilliant guitar improvisation are the hallmarks of this NewOrleans Party Institution.
